I love the little epilogue tacked on at the end. The visual of the neatly made bed with the handful of coins was stunning...and Bishop's room being empty really just said it all. Your narrative flowed beautifully and I really sighed contentedly reading the last line. The romantic in me wishes all stories here could be this lovely and wonderful, especially when they are focused on Bishop!

Very nicely played. I found myself checking for updates several times a day just to read more. Every character you wrote was so well rounded, especially Harper. I loved, "No, I just...I can't. You...you were looking for me?" That line so well captures the mind of a woman who's been betrayed by someone she loves. Excellent, from start of first book to finish of second, and I'm hoping you write more fiction!

There really is no other way to finish this story. It isn't in Bishop's nature to be tied down, so a good compromise is for him to travel with the one thing he's not able to let go of. I hope Harper is happy with this life she's chosen. Of course, with Bishop being human, she's not going to have to live that way forever and I think it's better for him to live remotely with him while he's there.

Ah, I've finally had a chance to catch up on this sequel. I love the character of Bairn and the banter back and forth between Ammon and Bishop. You can tell Harper owns Bishop by the fact he's there for her, no matter how much he protests the fact. Loved the final scene of this chapter with Harper bearing the indignity of a piggy back ride, half-orc style. ^_^
