solid premise. very enjoyable!

Even if this was meant as a silly piece, for some reason, it seems to rhythm with a lot of things I'm familiar with.

My one suggestion is to make a correction to your ending line. You write, "But the cursor show no mercy..." the phrase isn't correct for the grammatical structure of the sentence.
