Holy crap, why doesn't this have more reviews? Definitely one of the best Noir fics out there. I could totally feel the press of time, and I love how you captured their emotions. I've seen fics done on Mireille's point of view of the whole Intoccabile incident, but I've always wondered what Kirika felt during that time.

She's never seen her like this - so anxious and vulnerable. It's a definite, and troubling shift from her normally aloof, confident persona. So those were probably some of my favorite lines in your fic, especially that last line and its implications. Noir is all about implications, and you got that completely.

Wonderful job on this. You really were able to describe Mireille's absolute terror, and how she realizes that it's a very big problem but doesn't know what to do about it beyond just going ahead with the job anyway and attempting to face that fear. Nice work.
