This really isn't too bad. You have the characters down pretty well, and the tension between Zuko and Katara is definately appropriate/strong/well-written. I hope you continue this story. Or begin another one similar to it, if you're not happy with this one.

...just kidding. (My attempt at humor) Ok, FIRST of all, you should NOT discontinue this fic!! However long it may take (read your profile, and I'm a total procrastinator too, so I understand) you've GOT to keep going with this! This is such a good story, I mean first chapter and I'm already hooked. You are very good at description, let me tell you, and have a good, diverse vocabulary. I was easily able to see the scene in my head, and the mood was set well. On top of that, EVERYONE is in character (not a single person OOC, so don't worry about that!), yet you don't bound them to a single characteristic. There's still room for development for everybody, which is GOOD. You even show the harshness of Zuko as well as the fact that he has a heart when you show him looking out at the sky, and taken by nature. AND you've got action, drama, AND humor. A perfect balance. It's fantastic! It's stories like this that make me proud to be a Zutara fan. Yup.

Seriously, you've got to continue with this. And who cares about this story possibly conflicting with the show? It's like a show in itself! Nothing wrong with an AU fic, it's just a new view, a new story line! Keeps the excitement going. :]

Also, I'm the same way with writing...I've got all the major scenes, and major plot points in my head, but the in-between parts are hell to write! But listen, it IS possible, you've just got to look around at your own life and gain inspiration from there. When you've got an idea, write it down! Anything goes here. Well, I've written a lot, haven't I? Sorry..:] Anyways, I hope I helped, or gave at least SOME drive to keep writing! I really do hope you decide to continue.

This is good story, nice lengthy first chapter. Wonder how Aang and everyone eles will participate in Music Night, and what Prince Zuko will do during the time. I like this story because Zuko still has his ship and all, before he was betrayed and bounty placed over his and Iroh's head.
