i can understand wanting to take a break. i will say this, do NOT let your readers pull you back in if you don't want to. then you're just writing for others and not yourself. that is not good, so just don't do it. unless you want to. ;)

i was a little disappointed that there was only a flag in the chest. i figure... they've come all that way, went through all that, only for a flag? but i will admit that it was clever adding the final touches on it.(the whole Blackbeard good luck thing). still, i thought it was going to be something extravigent... but it was still a good ending. i especially liked how you tied the title into the last line of the story.
