I truly enjoyed this story--the idea was original and the characters were themselves. The only thing I could suggest would be to keep the tense consistent. If you want the story to be in the past tense, then leave out the present and future tenses so the structure flows better. But the way you handled the characters' inner thoughts and outer actions was very believable, along with your writing style. Thank you for a great read!
