Honey, honey, honey...

As much as I'd like to say this really is something that stands alone, it does not. Wow, I can actaully write a different list for this story rather than use the same lists for all the fics that use girls at a boy camp. Don't you feel honored?

*So instead of a girl being an innocent bystander, you have her be all bad and tough? Not bad, only she seems to have no flaws whatsoever.

*D-tent obsession. That HAS been done to death, dude.

This right here right away gives the impression of a Sue: "She was amazingly fit and tall. She did not appear to have a single ounce of fat in her, she was all muscle. Nobody really saw her face. She stayed away from the Wreck Room, and ate alone...whenever she was near someone, a black baseball cap was pulled over her eyes, casting her face into shadow. All they really knew was that she had long brown hair, which was constantly put up into a messy bun, low at the back of her neck."

Everyone has to see her face, dude. When she's digging, she has to constantly look up to throw her dirt into the pile. She also has to look up to get out of the hole. When she's asleep, I'll bet her face is exposed to the one who is sleeping at the bed where her face is turned, unless you make her hair fall into her face. And if it's up in a bun, it'll be hard to put the hat on her head while covering your face at the same time.

Plus, your sentinces are choppy and messy. Learn to write.

Also, no matter how tough she is, there are guys who are tougher. Don't make her so 'I'm so bad' that everything avoids her. Not only does this make your character a Sue, like I said before, it automatically makes her unlikable, because we have nothing to expect. I doubt guys will just take the knee to the groin lightly.

Please, respect the Holes canon.

I don't know if it is too late to vote, but I love this story, and it takes a lot to make me say that. My personal vote is that Britt should be paired with Squid. I don't know why, but I can just picture those two together, it'd be kinda funny because you'd have Britt attacking him when she's pissed and him attacking her because of the whole she's pissed so she'll make everyone pissed. Great story.

Good chappie. And she should most def. be paired with Squid. No question.
