Yeah... That was depressing, but at least Usagi and Logan moment is very satisfying.

Not to read too much into it, but perhaps that is the reason why Usagi hadn't restored Setsuna's and Mamoru's memories. She knew Setsuna's sense of 'obligatory duty' would dictate that she return to the TimeGates. And she wanted to give her a chance at a normal life.

Still, part of her reason for going back is rather self-flagellatory (self-punishing !-) ). Going back to the TimeGates because she thinks she betrayed her Princess by marrying Mamoru. First off, none of them knew the truth. And second, Usagi is doing just fine for herself.
