That was just too cute ( the first of your stories I have read, but I am now an avid fan after seeing you mentioned many times in Cynlee's a/n's- she's another fave!) Poor Mikey! I have never taught a kata, but I have learned a few, and, being dyslexic, I have had the same problem. I was fortunate that my instructor was very patient. If I could find another like him, I would so love to continue the martial arts I'd always so loved- but that's a whole other subject! LOL. Great fic and now I'm off to read your other master pieces!

I loved it. Mikey wrote on his hands and feet so he could remember his left and right? That's one way of remembering.

It was adorable! I had the same issues when I was a kid.

Cute story, Splinter! I liked it a lot. Poor Mikey doesn't know the difference between right and left. Great job. Write more good stories soon. You are a good writer.

Haha. Poor Mikey. I used to be in karate & there was mostly little kids - some were cute & some were brats - but thye did try hard. And the Sensei made one cry, & yet he'd doen the best when going for his next level - but they faield him & the other two not-so-good passed. That ticked me off. I didn't pass one level too - had to do it twice - *shrugs* Still kinda wish I'd have stayed long enough for my blue belt - though, no matter how hard I tried I could NOT get the bo kata right! And I'd actually practiced that one! [kinda like Mikey-lol]

I do think that since its obviously canon, (in the Newtoon anyway, if I'm not mistaken) Mike is left handed more of the time, but can use both hands or switch between them some times, so naturally, his body uses the left limbs instead of the right out of habit.

Left handed kids shouldn't be forced to use the right-hand cause it'll just be too tedious for them to accomplish, (not to mention dishartening if they just cant get it right, when their bodies flatly refuse to cooperate,) or so I've seen from a documentry once...

I do wonder how Mike, being the only left handed guy in the gour, could master his ninjutsu without some sort of roadblock, poor kid...
