A heartrending ending to what was likely a great story. Hopefully, Miss Muse decides that everyone needs to know it. Maybe, Hermione is talking to an interviewer about what Severus Snape did for the war effort a few years after what occurred in The Kiss?

You know, of course, there is no way I can imagine either Harry or Hermione letting Fudge and the rest of those wankers get away with this. There will be some way that one or the other of them has figured out a way to cheat the Dementors of their meal and Severus' body will be rescued and reunited with his soul.

that's sad, in a really really good way, but still really sad, I like it

This story made me cry the first time I read it, it still does everytime. The only other stories I've read and then cried about were the actual Harry Potter books. I love this story thank you for writing it.

But otherwise nicely done!

I just came across this and how wonderful and angsty it was! I don't normally read stories that end in Snape's death (or soul sucking as the case may be) because it just kills me to see it happen, but I couldn't help myself. Really, very well written.
