It always vaguely annoyed me that DN never even addresses the issue of Light's lack of omnicognizance, and his utter dependence on flawed mortal judgement to determine his targets...

Heh, you'll cross anything, won't you? This is a rather interesting pair-up, tho. And when you consider that Rukia and Ryuk are both old as dirt, it's not hard to imagine a bored Ryuk managing to get on her bad side some time in the past.

But now that you mention it, I don't believe there are any mistaken killings in the manga.
