Well, I gotta say that this was surprisingly very good. I especially liked how you had Gendo use the guilt of the deaths of people to goad Shinji into piloting it. It was unique and logical. I had thought of that before, but I never did see it in a fanfic (I think...), as most do the same old method of -just- using Rei to motivate Shinji. Very nice touch and brought up my opinion a lot just from that scene.

An incredibly well-made combination of the most depressing Mecha anime ever and the best sci-fi remake ever.

Keep on doing it.

My two cents:

I don't view Battlestar Galactica on matters of principle and an aversion to ShakyCam©, but I have to say there was just enough in here to understand what was going on in terms of action and Evangelion. So far, I like the way you've given us a little bit of exposition while preserving the characteristics of the anime series. Hopefully, the quality will improve and this will become a consistant part of my reading collection.

This is most certainly one of the more interesting concepts and stories around at the minute. I have to admit, at first I was sceptical of this story when I first saw it - I'm generally sceptical of all crossovers I see - but you've combined these two universes nicely. It's interesting, it's intriguing, and works surprisingly well.
I like that - in a way - Gendo seems almost respectable in the face of the Quorom and in other areas. A very nice touch there.
As this story progresses, I'm sure it will only get better. And I like that you are adding different twists, making this more your story. Again, it keeps things interesting.
Take as long as you need with the next chapter. After all, it's your story and your life. ^_^ I look forward to more.

P.S. As for Evangelion DVDs - I've read your profile - perhaps you could try (I only recently got properly into anime in mid-2006 - it took me 6 months to find a website that actually had the Evangelion DVD boxset in stock. They said they did, when they didn't. I know the feeling your having.)

This chapter is as good as the first one. I'm a little pissed you didn't give us the battle, but the A/N made up for it.

Unit 01 is very different. Rather then fill the entire plug with LCL, you're just filling the suit. The helmet is also new, and strangely fitting. I enjoyed all of Shinji's feelings of something looking back at him as he synched with the eva. I'm a bit confused as to why you have view screens as opposed to the entire plug being visual, but I expect you've got some reason behind this.

The Quarom is very interesting. I like how you've changed the names of some of the organizations. This adds some mystery, as well as making the reader wonder just what 'Esper' is. Marduk, maybe?

I wonder if a few people's names won't get changed as well. Whenever Kowaru appears in a fic, I instantly get suspicious. Name changes could remedy this, although eliminating characters never seems like a good idea.

Following the canon for the beginning makes sense. This will make it feel familiar, but will also highlight the changes you're making. I look forward especially to these, but I'll happily follow the similarities until then.

Very good. While this chapter seems to follow Episode 1 rather closely, it still had some very unique parts.

The ships and the 'Seraphim' sound cool. Evas in space has always intrigued me, if done well. From what I've seen so far, this will definately be done well.

The vacuum part caught my attention. That was very well done and different from what I'm used to reading. It also showed some research into the effects of vacuums.

I haven't seen BSG, so just about anything you put in is new to me. This should make your fic all the more enjoyable. However, it will also make me clueless about certain parts. For example, are the names of the ships original or are they from the show?

Well, onwards to Chapter 2.

Been looking forward to this and it delivered, I see Shinjis in the Eva and has finally launched which is good, looking forward to seeing how you handle the next part. Interaction between Gendo and the Committee was good brought up some interesting points just as with the actual series. Looking forward to the next one.

I probably would have preferred to see the Evangelions/Angels completely sinking in Hell and be completely forgotten but, Hey, perfection is for Gods, and we are just humans.

I always thought these two would go well together. It's original, in that it's the first time I've seen this particular crossover done, but still, then first chapter struck me as more of a retreading of the original series in a new setting, and nothing more.

I see you've had the Angels replace the Cylons in this. How are you going to bring the numbers into this then? One of your reviewers seemed to dislike the idea of Ritsuko being like Balthar, but that could work, and work well.

There are a few little mysteries hidden just below the surface in this that have gotten me interested. It could just be from the fact that I'd want to see how you integrate elements from both shows.

Anyway, there is hope here for a decent fanfic.

Kinda expected to see Shinji and CO. blsating angel-based toasters in the MK-II Vipers, but this also works as well. Still, I'm expecting them to do so when there's a Raider attack over the fleet.
Taking into account several elements from BSG, and the fact that Apollo and Starbuck (Misato) have already here, it vould be interesting to see which rol the children will fill in the Pacifica.

Hoping that Ritsuko is not in the role of Baltar here, the general idea would be Shinji-Halo, Asuka-Athenea, Rei-Boomer, Kensuke-Hot Dog, Touji-Tyrol Hikari-Carrie

Nicely done, you're off to a great start. I really like it and I hope you see this all the way through.

There is already enough unfinished work floating around out there, some of it quite good, and just seeing it sitting there incomplete is a real piss off.
