I love your story "And the Ground Shook" so much that when I saw you had a tag to Hunted that had helped you deal with the episode I thought I'd take a look as I need to somehow deal with that episode as well. Something about it has somehow I think cracked something in my intense love for Supernatural. It's a love I don't want to lose but I can feel Hunted damaged it somehow, threatens to turn the show into something I won't love as much. I feel myself distancing from it, like I'm waiting for it to keep getting worse and so hurt me more. I find myself tensing at the ads for the next week to make sure it's a standalone and not another psychic friends adventure, I find myself looking forward to Heroes almost as much if not sadly perhaps more if only because I know I can trust them to give me what they promised, what the show was promised to be. I just want to see the show get past this, get back to where it was and where it was going before. I don't want to love it any less. The tag helped.

I have read this more than once and admit to being confused, unsure how it is related to 'Hunted.' But I guess I felt the need to comment only because this is my interpretation of your story. The brothers have an argument, Dean leaves, drives off a cliff and commits suicide.
The brothers may have their arguments, Sam may ask the impossible of Dean, but they trust and love each other.
No matter what happens, Dean will not leave Sam, just as he will not kill his own brother, he will try to save him and if Sam dies, Dean will die too. His physical being may continue to help people and fight the supernatural, but the Dean we know, the big brother of Sam, will have died and only the shell of his body will still be here, until the day he loses a battle.
Than he will be with Sam again.
Of course we all know that now that Sam has had this vision, he will make sure Dean lives.

Hm. I actually read that twice, before I paused, contemplated reviewing, decided not to, went back to the 'Just In' page, then returned to this fic, read it a third time, and then clicked the review button.

Very interesting, at first I was confused/shocked when I read the line, "Dean died on Saturday". Then you verified that it was two weeks from now, and I was a little relieved. But only a little.

This is a very different type of fic, but I've decided I liked it. Nice job.

DAH! How? What?! WHAT?! No, no, no, no, no, no! NOT the end...NOT THE END! You get your butt back here and you fix this! Now! Do you here me? You come back and you tell us that Sam saved him... Sam didn't save him did he? I'm guessing the argument was about his vision then?

Mrr...now I'm all perturbed. You had to go and do that? Mrr... well, if you weren't such a good writer that would have been far less disturbing.

That was really good. I don't review often- only when something affects me, which clearly this did. Great short story!

So did Dean die or did Sam stop it? I think I'm a bit confused.

I do have to say though that everyone seems ** at Sam for what he asked Dean to do - I got that from your comment at the beginning - but no one seems to realize it had to be even harder for Sam to ask. And just how much that says about how much Sam still trusts Dean. Even after the betrayal of their father's secret.

What? This would make an awesome story. You can't stop here. Please write more. You did a great job writing this. I loved reading it.
