While I adore the Danny that listens through it all without issues and gets mad on her behalf, your Danny is so overwhelmed by the pain he's not sure he wants to go on. This is the first time I've seen someone write Danny like this... He wants to be there for her, but he doesn't want to hear about all of the pain he wants to erase because he feels helpless as it is. Beautiful.

mel60 2007-02-22 ch 3,	abuseWow. I gotta say - so far this is one of the coolest and most original versions of Lindsay's past ever! And you're not even done letting her tell us the rest of the story. I have the same questions as Danny, maybe even more. I feel like an active participant in this scene. Amazing. I also love that she started her story where she did. She didn't go into her family background, upbringing, yadda, yadda, yadda. Some people write that and it's so unnecessary. You started her story when it actually started. It felt natural and real. Incredible job so far, I can't wait for more.

You discribe the emotion so well, I was so captured into it that it was like I was right there, it made it incredibly real. With both that and you taped so well into Danny's thoughts and stayed in character, it's a rare thing, and it takes talent, so great job on that. The one thing that surprised me was you had that... and, you had Lindsay's perfect as-well. That made the feelings between them strong and deep. I am so looking forward to read more. Wow. Still slightly speachless... it was just THAT good. Wow. And honestly, I mean all that. I can be impatient waiting, but... I like how Danny's holding himself back for Lindsay's sake, so as not to scare her off almost, and how you've captured the caring side of his character in this chapter. QUOTEShe leaned into his embrace, but he could tell it was not complete surrender.QUOTE You can tell she wants to give in, but at the same time doesn't dare - I can't wait to see where you go with this - both Lindsay's past/Montana and her relationship with Danny.
