One word: lovely.
And of course I would be interested in a sequel!

Thanks for writing!

This is great! Very true to the spirit of C&H comics. And I liked the way the story ended with both Calvin and Hobbes finding pals. Androgynous pals, maybe? Only one thing to be improved. "Track of forest " shd be "tract" I think.

It was a nice ending - I especially liked Freddie, and his interaction with Hobbes. I'm also glad Calvin and Jay made up in the end.

Don't feel bad about ending the story. I only meant the comment as a compliment - I wanted to keep reading. ;)

So, that answers your question: I would definetly enjoy a sequel, or any other C&H fic.

Good Job!

Aww. It's over already?

Anyway, this was a good, if angsty, chapter. I have a feeling Calvin's gonna be doing some major apologising soon. Or else he'll continue to be oblivious.

This is fantastic! I was kind of apprehensive at first about the whole "new girl on the block" plot, because I don't even want to get into how weird any sort of Calvin/OFC interaction could potentially be, but this is lovely. Jay (Jaysa? The heck? XD) is a great character, and the dialogue between Calvin and Hobbes is perfect.

So, in conclusion, I will definitely be checking back...

It certainly did. Calvin's sudden descent into Spiffhood was a nice touch as well. Thanks a bunch - I really enjoyed this chapter!

It's very good. Very readable grammarwise, and you were right about Calvin not having changed much. However, you didn't make it quite clear - is the birdwatcher Calvin's age, slightly older, or a lot older?

I'm also guessing that she sees Hobbes as a stuffed animal, based on the confusion she exhibits when Calvin responds to him.
