Wow..total high priase from me. You earned it; Rathcet's charcter was totally nailed. Loved this utterly. I could go on an on about how much I love this, but...wow. I really hope you continue to write more about my favourtie charcter.

*jaw dropped* Damn... That was an emotional rollercoaster. The way you captured their emotions was spectacular. I felt their pain and frustration, and then their resolve. Hell, I think I'll remember Windrunner's name too.

Yet another great story. Its sad and true, and it reminds me of M*A*S*H a whole lot.

I realize this is a pretty old fic, but I'd like to comment just the same... My roommies and I have been re-watching a lot of old G1 episodes as of late and while some of them are pretty darn awful with all the production errors and such, the characters still remain endearing. I'm a total child of the 80's and Ratchet's always been one of my absolute favorite Autobots (you can probably guess how angry I was when he bit it in the TF movie), so I figured I'd log onto old and see if anyone had bothered to write any fic about him. ...thank you for writing this fic, old as it is. Your portrayl of Ratchet was excellent; it was really awesome to get a glimpse into a more human side of him. The words used were well chosen and the details not overdone. The Ratchet fan in me got a little misty eyed here and there... Definitely adding this to ye old favorite stories list.

Just a bad day at the office? -THERE'S- an understatement if I ever heard one. It's like saying Hamlet's just about a little domestic dispute. ;) Great little fic- though a very somber one. I liked the haggard characterization of Ratchet, in particular. However the instance of death in Transformer-dom is somewhat interesting, considering the multiple opportunities one gets to come on back. Heck, read the comic sometime, because I'm pretty sure that EVERYBODY kicked the bucket at least once (Or in the case of Prime, at least five or six times :) Of course, on the subject of the comic, this makes me wonder if you're familliar with Ratchet's exploits in the comic continuity, which more often than not involved saving the Autobots collective asses on more than one occasion. Just a little note. In any case, I look forward to seeing more of your work sometime.

Wonderful story. I really liked getting into Ratchet and Optimus' minds and how they feel about the war.

Very nice...I like seeing the more "human" side of the Autobots...that there's more to the stoic front of Optimus Prime.
