Okay! Its a miracle, I not only reviewed immediately after, but I signed in as well! This was so good, I couldn't keep from doing both!

I really, really, can't give enough praise. You captured both sides of the relationship absolutely perfectly... BRILLIANTLY!

I come across a lot of stories with writers breaking Rogue and Gambit up using really stupid things, by misinterpreting the truth of their relationship, the core of their relationship, the thing that you focus on so brilliantly in this... that they love their fights as much as they love not fighting. Gambit really wouldn't want her any other way... well, maybe not to flinch quite so much... but that's what making up is for between the two of them, her letting her guard down a little at a time, a little more each time, letting him put cracks in her well-built wall that she'd placed around herself over the years to keep people from getting too close so her power wouldn't hurt them... or her. And she, of course, wouldn't let him get that close if he really didn't have all his secrets, all those things that he locks away from everyone. That's how they are alike, that's how they understand eachother. That's how she trusts him... by not trusting him... because he has things about himself he's afraid of, things that will hurt people, just like she can hurt people (does that make sense).

You really did an incredible job. I am more than likely going to keep coming back to this story to help keep my portrayal of Rogue and Gambit in line, to keep me from taking their separations too wrongly... to remind myself that their distrust allows them to trust. They both feel part of them is untrustworthy and so they can't turst those who are seem wholly trustworthy... get it... of course you do... you just wrote it! Duh! (see sometimes in my excitement, I lose my head).

Good reconcilation. Internal torment. Never cared for hat song much though...

Good. It's a nice representation of Rogue&Remy's everyday romantic problems. And you do this without any "dream ending" where somehow they get to really be together like normal people, but you do give the readers a hope for their future together. One question though. How does the song "Bitch" fit with this little romance story. Okay I admit it fit in certain places, but for the most part I got the feel that the song just didn't encompass the actions of the story. Other than that, I really liked it.
