Many smiles and thanks for this one - it's one of my all-time favorite 'fics, even incomplete. I've rec'd it to more friends and groups over the past couple years than I can remember.

Just treated myself to a reread of all ten chapters, and perhaps the Muse'll bite again someday. :) I live in hope ...

This story is fantastic. Please write another chapter soon. I absolutely adore your portrayal of Severus. I love how truly odd you've made Severus. All his misunderstandings are so believable when you see thought processes like these. I must say that I was skeptical about the whole Sirius thing since I absolutely detest that character. You, however, have managed to write and incarnation of Sirius Black that I can stand.

This story is both funny, brilliant, yet sad at the same time.

Only one thing, is this going to be Severus/Lily for the whole book, or Severus/Sirius, or what? Sorry, but I'm curious :D

Hmm hmm. This chapter was just as long, I think, and it was still good.

"In the morning, Sirius announced very loudly in front of their dorm mates that Severus was an amazing kisser and quite an exceptional shag." had me laughing for a long time. Anyway, going to the next chapter... this one was quite long, don't you think? But I'll be so happy if all of them are like this...

Your characters are brilliant. I've never read a young Severus I've believed in more. You've taken a familiar voice and filtered it through all the horror and snark and jumbled confusion of being a 15-year-old misfit. I'm almost viscerally reminded of what that stage of life felt like. And you've taken Lily - a character underwritten in canon and seldom given a compelling personality in fan writing -- and made her into someone complex and real ... and a plausible friend to Sev, in all his vulnerability and sneering disdain and defensiveness. And I love the care you've taken with their deepening friendship -- it's genuine, we watch it grow organically, and it's got an understated intensity that I wish more writers could master.

Your prose is excellent, and enough others have complimented your humor that I won't repeat them -- except to say that laughing that hard in lab, when one ought to be doing experiments, is never the best way to attract the boss's attention ... And I love how you handle those diverging, "roads not taken" AU situations with such a light touch -- the reader can savor them without feeling hit over the head!

I've given up fiction for Lent again this year, but there's not one thing in the world I'd rather read first come Easter morning than another chapter of this. Thank you for such a treat, and keep up the good work!

Oh, I do hope you'll take up this fic sometimes and finish it. I really can't say more, except I've been gobbling up the last two chapters in a happy, happy mood. This is really one of the best-inspired Snape/Black fics I've ever read so I'll just keep my fingers crossed in hope.
