I like it - it's very detailed. However, I think you overused the phrase "sixteen-year-old." The audience doesn't need to have Han's age drilled into their head over and over again.

No, no suggestions on the congrontation. I like the story.
Even though I like the EU, I don't mind if fanfiction authors deviate or change it. There are continuity discrepencies in the books anyway, so no biggy. Besides, staying within the "official" guidlines makes it harder to do a properstory.
Now this was a proper story. It kept "Han" in character. It also introduced some new characters we can play with (persmission required of course) and involved humor plus things that might happen in a galaxy-wide universe instead of planet only. The details were nicely done as well. Good job.
The quality was excellent and the quantity was good as well. (were you intending this to be a oneshot or a full fleshed story? It feels completed as is, but if you so desire (and have already planned) to add more, go ahead.) Thanks for the different view on Han Solo.
