I know he's meant to die in Vietnam, but I refuse to believe that ;-) The way you slowly built up to Soda being dead was great, and you've captured Pony's voice pretty well, I think. The last line was great, too. Loved it - so well written. PS. So now go write one with a happy ending!

AFter i got over one part of it, I'd read another and i'm bawling all over again. I love the way you ended. it was perfect. Everything fit. I was asking for it by reading a story about war!) But, whatever way I wish it ended, you finished it wonderfully. I love the last sentence. Excellent! :-) "He got shot in battle, and they were sending him back to us. He was no use to them anymore." ^^I'm not particularly sure why, but this line really gone to me. I guess it really hit home. "He was no use to them anymore." It sort of sums up one view of war. It expresses a finality--an ending to serving in battle. You've done a wonderful job! Keep up the good work!

Queen Jane Approximately 2007-02-03 ch 1,	abuseI really loved this. Anything to do with Vietnam I'm pretty quick to read, because it's something that interests me very much. But I think you captured the emotions very well, and it all sounded very accurate. I definitely wasn't expecting the ending. I'll admit, I did kind of just stop for a minute and stare at the screen - I was that surprised. Also, I know it didn't turn out that way, but there's just one thing I want to point out. Usually soldiers in Vietnam who got on leave during their tour would not go back to the States. When they did go on leave, it was called R&R - for rest and recreation, or rest and relaxation, whichever one - and they usually would go to places close by, like Singapore, Sydney, Japan, and other places in the southeastern Asia region. It's nothing to worry about; I just felt I should tell you that. And it didn't change my opinion of this - I still love it. Great job. Peace. :)
