BrookeBanks 2008-06-01 ch 22,	abuseMy heart feels like it's been sledge hammered under a cinder block reading a lot of this, especially the past few chapters. I finally get it though. Everything you've built up points to one conclusion. I'll write you privately to find out if I'm right. Well I gotta say the fight with Quan Chi was a lot better and more dramatic than any MK battle I've ever encountered. Like its so entertaining and thrilling reading these past battles. They're really imaginative. But I gotta ask, can this really be it?

When you mentioned Zhang i imagined Kenshi. You are right, Quan Chi is a bastard. We'll see what happens next, or is it over?

I should add that you've done a better job in the last chapter or 2 of making me care about a minor character than most movies have done making me care about major characters! From this chapter, I get that Kitana is a woman that creates a hush and stuns a room either with her presence or the fact she kills people next to her. The banter between Shang Tsung and Kitana said a lot even if it was only 4 lines of dialog. Speaking of dialog. I loved this line: He then knocked her arm away from him, and battered her thick body with more punches. Just the fact that you use thick makes me think Li Mei is envious. This chapter really pushed Shang Tsung as a sinister man instead of a lacky to Shao Kahn. The fight scenes are 5-star, and has never once gotten tedious considering its the same woman fighting in almost 20 chapters. They get bigger, longer and more intense especially with Kitana.

BrookeBanks 2008-05-29 ch 20,	abuseI love the way you leave us hanging at the end of each chapter. I love the way each and every character is unexpectedly different. Especially Reptile and Blaze! Blaze could be something out of a horror movie! The face off with Shang Tsung was also really memorable and you even gave him a different twist with his true demonic self. I can only hope we get to see the demon unleashed.
purplestar213 2008-05-28 ch 20,	abusewow omg omg! I don't understand what happened to Reptile after. How will Li Mei defeat Quan Chi? In that part I was like "oh...my...god". In other chapter when Tsung said that he desired Li Mei, I was like "wtf with that". I need an explanation for that. Anyway, this story is getting better and better.

BrookeBanks 2008-05-21 ch 17,	abuse* The original man called out, “Leave her be!” but the only response from the crowd was, “He has been seduced by her!” Then a woman in the crowd yelled, “If she weren’t a devilish seductress, she would be wearing pants to hide her bare flesh!” * That is the best paragraph I have ever read! This fiction has moments of comedy amongst intense action and a great storyline. It leads me to wonder... what exactly is Li Mei wearing? I've followed this story since summer of 2007 and I'm happy that you're back and adding onto it. This whole review are things that I've thought and kind of saved up. Everyone else reviewed it lately, so I decided to throw my 2 cents in. This story needs to get finished, its too good not to! Each chapter has more action than I ever read in other fanficts. The best part though is the characters and dialog. With the dialog, its the simple fact that this could come of extremely cheesy like all fight movies. ex: I'm gonna stop you! No you'll never stop my badaxx kung fu moves. Don't sing it just bring it! For I Liu Kang will defeat you evil scorcerer and save Earthrealm! Each character has a definitive personality that I fall in love with. Kano is the obvious one... he's the antithisis of antagonist. I think what Shang Tsung and Quan Chi have going is incredibly thought provoking to say the least (without revealing anything). They are who they are supposed to be and better than MK could have ever hoped. You've done subtleties that both characters need to come across well. ex: instead of saying this is my clear cut plan to take over the world. the two of them do little things that get you interested. Finally Sareena... wtf? Wow that is a new level of character, she's in it for Li Mei's face... I'll leave it at that, but there just are not characters as uniquely strange as her outside of mythology. Keep up the awesome story.

Get off your lazy behinds and appreciate what's right in front of your nose! - Sorry Sitebender, I really had to get that off my chest. I only say the above because "A Life Kess Ordinary" is a nice breather from a lot else on here. My favorite is how you give every character the perfect dosage of attitude. It makes me feel bad for Li, 'cause they all seem to get their little cheap-shot insults at her, but its a good thing. “Who are these freaks and why do they always come to me?” ~Amen to that That being said, I like everything going on so far. My only little peeve here is you really should start a new paragraph everytime the dialogue switches between people. Hope to read more!
