I looked at the reviews first because I was sure someone had already pointed this out and I hope I'm not reading your author's note wrong but the enchanted forest series is not written by Tamora Pierce, wonderful beloved author though she is.

The Enchanted Forest series was written by Patricia C. Wrede. So Morwen (favorite character), and Cimorene and all the other assorted residents of the Enchanted Forest and the Dragon's mountains are hers.

By the way since others requested I figure it wouldn't hurt but some of dragons in there wouldn't hurt. Like the old dragon who was allergic to wizards and sneezed all the time. He'd be great.
