But Snape failed to protect Draco, even though he killed Dumbledore. His life is forfeit now according to one of the precepts of the Unbreakable Vow, and neither Narcissa or Bella is there to void the vow and save _Snape's_ life.

Harry had better talk to Snape _fast_, or Snape will be dead now, too (in fact, I'm surprised Draco's death didn't finish him off right then).
