Oh my goodness... *tears* This was so bittersweet and sad... I'd never thought about the ending this way, but it definitely is one possibility. Poor Mytho... and poor Fakir. *sniffles* Still, you did a wonderful job with this. :)

And I sadly have to agree- no matter what we what, the ending is inevitable.

Wow. Just wow. I had noticed that Mytho wasn't aging, but the whole concept of him just not aging at all is great. And I've actually thought about Ahiru's lifespan, too. But yeah, that was amazing. All I can really say.

Oh. And… well. For all the good it did, not reading the story before, because I didn’t write a single thing while reading. That was absolutely creepy. I don’t… wow. That is so haunting and, above all, horribly sad and gripping. Very gripping…

I have honestly never seen the sentiment captured so well, so concisely, and so utterly sympathetically as you managed here. Ever. Even in Sandman. And I’m so horrified that I’ve allowed myself to even think that that I’m going to stop now. But it’s true.

so sorrowful and beautiful and true. this is fantastic and it made me cry. i never even conceived that mytho wouldn't continue to age after he went back to being the prince. this is definitely a favorite story. so bittersweet. happy endings don't last forever, i guess. i love how you said his heart died with her and fakir's description of coping with ahiru's death.
