Very nice. You handle the interactions between the ninjas and the normal humans well, and the ninja's plight is very evocative. Captured, restrained like that, Shikamaru forced to bargain for Chouji's life... Here's hoping that they can get free and lay some smackdown of their own.

(One thing to note, though-Lee CAN use chakra. Kakashi mentions when describing the Inner Gates that it is, in fact, chakra that is used to open them. His limitation is only that he can't use any techniques that fall under specifically ninjutsu and genjutsu.)

As to the answers to one of your questions:

8. It's definately plausible, and also slightly amusing to think that Guy would forget to mention that added bonus in favour of it's supposed fashionability. But I don't think that Lee being unable to use chakra is entirely true. My theory is that Ninjutsu and Genjutsu are (usually) outward forces of energy projected on other beings or objects, where as Taijutsu is those same forces of energy projected on one's own body.

I love this fic. It's actually an original idea in the Naruto fandom. I didn't think those existed anymore. I really like your characterization of everyone.

I have to admit that I was a little sceptical about the OCs. Some of the stuff with them seems a bit unbelievable. The complex in general seems a little over-the-top, but the more I read the more it grows on me.

I can't wait for the next chapter.
