I'm writing this review t say that I appreciate this story very much. It's very believable and you are trying not to make it sound too easy. I liked the idea of the donations, the background story, but the best part is the unflinching way of treating PTSD of torture victims. Keep on going!

I can't believe this is the first review I'm leaving. I've been following this story from the beginning and it is definitely at the top of my favorites list. PLEASE tell me you're going to continue with this. It is very well-written and the readers are literally sucked into House's new world. I can't wait to see what happens next. Oh my god, I just found this story and have read it all in the last twelve hours. I admit to laughing out loud, crying on my t-shirt and staying up all hours to finish what there is here.

The quality of your imagery is superb. You made me feel the emotions of all the characters and that is no mean feat. Your dialogue suits each character here, even the subdued House. There is one pet peeve in this story that I will private message to you, but other than that this is probably the best House fic I have ever read.

YAY! I'm glad you're back! I was beginning to get worried that the story would end with House sleeping on a chair. Hehe. Anyway, Cate seems to be a great addition to the story. I love how she purposely tried to give House the position of "control" in the conversation in order to get him to agree with her plan. I can't wait to see how the date goes... and I can't wait to see Wilson's reaction to House's set-up. I hope House and Wilson discuss why House felt the need to get Wilson a date. I assume it's because he feels guilty about taking up Wilson's time, but I would like for Wilson to hear this from House. Great chapter!

OMG! This is wonderful! Because of Cate, House waking up scared and cowering and now working out an arrangement between Wilson and Cate. That was such a nice surprise. You caught me off guard on that one. I can't wait to read what happens in the next chapter. Still loving the story. :D

I wandered into this thing very late (between Chapter 34 and 35) and read it all over two days. This is extraordinary writing. I read The Contract, and then discovered the 'verse. In my inexperience I suffered my way through the overly angsty and borderline inept "Lifeline," because I thought it was required reading for this fic (it's not). I'm glad that you only barely touch on that second fic and focus your energy on following up with the first.

What you did was take a story, flesh it out, and make a world. The dialogue is natural and top-notch, the wild, full plot is very interesting, the characterizations are perfect (Cuddy and Wilson are the usual stand outs, but Chase and Foreman are just as believable) and I'm a huge fan of your Hitchcockian "give just enough detail to give them shivers" technique. I really want House to get better, not only because of what happened to him, but because your characterization of him is absolutely on the mark. Beaten-up, crazy and then un-crazy, stumbling around on an ortho boot, way too skinny, constantly in pain, dealing with fear ... doesn't matter. He's still the same whip-smart ornery cuss we know and love. I'm also enjoying, among other things, your characterization of the OCC (Original Character Crew) - Linda McAllister, Catherine Milton - soon to be going out with Wilson (LOL), Devi Raghatta, etc.

After reading all of this, I just have three questions. There was a character named Milton in Season 4 - the gal at the South Pole that House tended to via computer. Is Catherine Milton any relation to her? (Sister, maybe?) Also, do you think that House finding an answer to her question might lead to him talking to her as a therapist? God knows he could use it.

Also, I know "hope is for sissies" and all, but is there any way that House will (at some future point) consent to hand surgery with that guy on the West Coast who Wilson calls "an artist"? Maybe he can play the piano for occupational therapy, to strengthen his hands again.

Anyway, I'm really glad you're updating this, because it's amazing. Hoping the new chapters will come along a bit faster than two months between 'em. ;) Cheers.

I'm so glad to see this updated. What a quality piece of work. I've been following this for ages albeit as a horrible lurker. This is such controlled, fabulous writing, really wonderful and can't wait to read more.

Wow...I didn't realize I had missed so many chapters. I'm glad to see this story. And I like Catherine. I actually like her for House, not Wilson...but I guess it isn't meant to be. I'm looking forward to more.
