Great story! That sounds so like light never wanting to let his pride go,if he had then maybe things could have happened differently in the anime. And L really is the opposite of light I mean he did give up something important,to him anyways. I just hope that Light doesnt give into the price to get L's real name. But I guess its all up to you in this fic. Please update soon.

That was really great! I haven't read too much of xholic but I do love it when people crossover it with death note (in one or two shots) I loved the last scene with the birth certificate, keep writing!

first, laying off the basis (heh, the basket of apples was fun), and then showing kira, raito, off, with a dark aura. for such a short thing like this shot was, you must have thought a lot about it, and i admire that.

dark evil aura, because in his way of power raito had nothing of pure and righteous in him, evil because he wanted to kill.

he wouldn't have accepted the deal because, despite his whole world based on L's real name, he still wouldn't have exchanged his 'future as world's god' for the knowledge. it wasn't just pride that stopped him, it was his desire to have more whilst giving up nothing.

fine adding was yuuko settling what ryuku was, as he has always been there to amuse himself and all in all, it's still him that controls raito's life, thus raito is his pet.

about L (i really liked the small joke about his sweet tastes), you showed how he is willing to give up his most precious thing and not to realise who is kira, but instead to know how much time he still has. because he doesn't want to trick and he wasn't the one searching for yuuko.

it's short, but it is prefectly tuned with both series.

there is no mentioning of real names, and it always threads carefully with the characters' personality. they are all IC, and you did a wonderful work.
