Usually I find that a second point of view detracts from the piece or more often ends up disappointing, but Matsumoto's point of view was just as tremendous as Hitsugaya's. I really like this whole darn thing. They're both in character and it manages to come off as sweet. (Sweet, and a smidgen of bittersweet at the end.) You keep their characters and bring out other parts that aren't necessarily shown. For example, Hitsugaya's honor is just natural. But Matsumoto's attraction to that? Your own little add-in. And you gave us reasons that make sense - that she's dealt with or at least conscious of sleazy guys. Details I liked - Hitsugaya's thumb on her collarbone. How Matsumoto thought it was romantic that he touched her hair first. The mention of his stammering after the first time he had one of these stolen moments. Shifting to give him a better view. And, of course, the hotspring thing. It made me snicker. Ahh! This was TOO GREAT. Awesome job! - Sakura |
