You think Simon of all people would understand a brother wanting to protect his sister... Of course he's clearly thinking more about helping his than any effect he might be having on her stepdaughter.

So Jayne knocked up Allegra before he left, & she jumped world before anyone knew she was preggers. Which is why no one knew she had a kid, & also explains why Dana remembers his mom as being so resentful... am I supposed to feel bad for the junkie mom? Because finding his siblings & finally getting a decent life experience at age 18 doesn't really negate all the sh!t he went through with & without her. In my opinion, of course.

This is a phenomenal and incredibly well-wriitten story. I really hope its not abandoned!

This is cool. when do we get more

Gah! I love this fic! I'm always on the lookout for a good Firefuly fic, and when I first clicked it, I was a little dubious, but I was happy to discover good writing, excellent characters, and a nice mix of amusing and serious storylines. That being said, I hate to say it, but the most recent plot twist is leaving me a little 'eh', but I will be happy to have you prove me wrong.

Dana is definitely my favorite character, followed by Sal, and then Murphy, but all the Cobb kids are pretty awesome. I'm going to be very sad when the fic ends. So personally, I hope that the end of the fic takes a long long time to come.

The last thing I'm going to say is that Inara hasn't had talking lines in the story for a good couple of chapters (I think the last time she spoke, it was when she was giving birth or shortly after that...) and I absolutely adore when Wash gets awesome Wash-y lines. _

Holy cow that's a hell of a place to leave this story. I really hope it's just gonna be awhile between postings, and not that the story has been left dead.. Very entertaining so far, please do continue.

Just found this story tonight, and I'm really enjoying it. You've captured the voices and feel of the Serenity world so beautifully. And I love that you brought Wash back, every scene that he's in makes me happy.

*gapes* . . . Hooooooow? How could she possibly be the mother? I mean, I know Jayne can be thick, but did he really screw his old fiance and not remember? How drunk was he? It's very confusing.

Now I can't wait for the next chapter to find out how she could be the mother of Dana. Oh, and to see Sally try and teach. That laugh was perfect at the end of that scene. :)
