Was that a reference to How I Paid For College the amazing fanfiction? Great story, cute story line, funny, with enough drama and cute fluff to last me a lifetime.

I love this story!

I've read it a few times now, and everytime it manages to clench my gut in sympathy for Riku, and smile in happiness over the happy ending.
Haha, I'm a girl who likes both a handful of angst and fluff all rolled into one- the angst makes the fluff and romance that much sweeter, and you manage to find the perfect balance in this story!

I must say though, that the best thing about this story is not the plot (excellent) or the characters (amazingly well portrayed- really in character I find), but the quotes!
My favorite part was reading the one-liners from different people's perspectives on the situation revolving around Riku and Sora. I was always trying to determine who or what they were referring to, and now, looking back on it, it really is the sign of a great writer to be able to show so much about each character's emotional situation (especially that of Riku) in such few words! It was also a nice way to incorporate more of the Kingdom Hearts characters without focusing too much on their side stories or histories. It emphasized the harder points love- the things that love affects in our daily lives that are hardly ever shown as being impacted. Usually it's all gusty sighs and pining, but with this, Riku doesn't do it for the attention, it just happens, and the people and friends around him can see that. I love it! It's reality!
And the fact that Riku accepts that it's life; that things don't all just fall into place, and you'll end up with your one true love, shows the realim of love, the harshness to it. It's not all roses and laughter. It's just as hurtful as it is pleasurable, but it's something that we can't stop or help. And the ending I find is perfect. You captured the reality of the situation so clearly that the happy ending of love being returned, and living happily ever after inspires hope that maybe, in real life, like in Riku and Sora's fictional real lives (lol) that we too can find happiness in requited love.
Haha, I find it funny I view your portrayal of a fictional love story incorporated with reality as an attainable reality in this fictional world.

It was so . . . right. Utterly fulfilling dose of RikuxSora. It's the kinda story that leaves a warmth in your chest after you've read it, just basking in the happiness the characters have finally managed to find. As I type this review, I'm sitting here with a warm, contented smile on my face. THAT'S good fanfiction, hun.

Somehow I've neglected the solely Riku/Sora fics before - don't know why, maybe because Axel/Roxas has always been my priority and OTP. But this was so, so beautiful. Bittersweet, even, but with an ending that was so perfect that it was almost heartbreaking.

Brilliant piece. The interludes between scene really gave a more in depth perspective of their everyday lives. Nice :)
