excellent comparisons and great Bobby voice!

Okay, so basically I love Bobby, so very much, and this fic is therefore full of joy. Especially since you've got him thinking about how it's one of his responsibilities as a hunter to exchange witty repartee with demons, and showing that he probably gets the Winchesters better than anyone. Side note, though, I think you left something off Dean's list of priorities. The Impala should be in there somewhere before Dean himself, although I'm not sure if it comes before or after killing bad things...probably after, but he does love that car, so...

Absolutely great Bobby musing on the Winchesters! You have Bobby's love/hate with John nuanced very well, and Bobby's affection for the boys is written with depth.

I just rewatched this episode today. What an excellent Bobby-pov! You definitely captured Bobby's voice too.

I have to say that while I was watching the episode, all I could think was how well Jared plays creepy. It's so strange because he does innocent and naive so well too. I love his depiction as Meg and also later as Lucifer. So intriguing.

I love how well you get inside Bobby's head! It's like you sat there and quizzed him about all this stuff over a beer! And I just loved the line about a demon where a pink bikini protecting puppies and toddlers! That had to be my favourite :)

It actually took me a minute to remember which episode it was, but I got it and you wrote it great! Sammy walking in there like he's all that, drinking the spiked beer... yeah, it was brilliant! Although, it has made me want to watch it again to see if we get to see that part! lol Funny how you can get mixed up with what you read in a good fic and what you see on the show! I could picture this fic in my head like an episode, so it was really great :)

Anyway, just really had to say that. I love all your Bobby musings fics, you should definitely write more of them :)

Did I ever said how I love Bobby's character ? I think so ... And it's such a pleasure to read such a good one shot in his point of vue ! The majority of it felt absolutely accurate, up to his personality and how he expresses himself ... although maybe a couple sentences felt too literary in my opinion for his gruffy ways ... but hey, could be hiding his true self, the show is good at surprising with unpredicted outbursts from his characters. And I loved to get the perspective of Bobby on when he realized Sam was possessed. Touching, really, how he was so much more emotional on the inside then he let on to the demon's face. Loved it. Love Bobby !

I really liked this, especially Bobby's thoughts on Dean's priorities and the way he talks about them as "John's boys". I've just seen this episode for the first time and am definitely becoming a Bobby fan! I liked his voice in this and will be checking out your other stories.

Man oh man, what a great story. Compact, clean - just enough words to tell the story, characterization all in word choice, word order ... I'm impressed.

Oher than marmite, none of the other british-isms that make me wince (mum, chips) in other stories but lesser writers. Notsure what the american version of marmite is - because most everyone likes the most ubiquitous thing I can thing of - peanut butter. ;)

Just read this story and I love your characterisation of Bobby and the boys. I think love/hate really describes it best when it comes to John! *lol*

Two tinsy bits at the end threw me off the story a bit though: a) The Devil's Trap is still the same as the one that they used on Meg. I doubt Bobby did erase it, I think it's a permanent one, so there's no need to draw it. Btw, the symbol is a Devil's Trap, the Key of Salomon is only the book, Bobby gave to Sam.

b) possessed!Sam took the Impala, when he left the motel, after he knocked Dean out. You can actually see that Dean drives a stolen car to get to Bobby, so Bobby can't hear Dean arrive in the Impala. ;)

Always knew Bobby had a soft spot for John's boys. A new insight at who is more like John, which explains the head butting between John and Sam. I can picture Bobby sitting in a bar having the conversation and being thirsty afterwards.
