Really liked this story. I was worried until Sam appeared in Jack's office. And I got to the end, and was hoping for more? :)

Okay, so it took me FOREVER to actually read your fiction, but WOW! I'm so thrilled! (I apologize for the delay. Life has been utterly nuts on my end -- since the ficathon began, I had pneumonia followed by a very sick 3-year-old-daughter who had surgery last month. Things have been so far beyond insane, that, once I wrote YOUR story, I totally forgot you were writing MY story!) Still, I'm kind-of glad I forgot to read your story until now. It was a happy little 4th-of-July present for me!

You had me very worried when I read the beginning. I thought, "Um... I DID say I hated character death, right?" Anyway, as someone who's killed both Jack and Sam (in my zillion-word Ring trilogy), I must say you pulled the resurrection off brilliantly! Loved the sappy reunion -- and I really loved Hammond's reactions to the whole thing. Very nicely written. And, I think you pulled off the lust marvellously. Lust can be overdone, but you did great!

SQUEE-E-E-E! Man was I in agony at the awful news at first. Poor Jack, emotionally whumped, and excellenty rendered at that. Really well done plotting; all characters on the mark and the dialogue was flowing. Hits the spot for me! Sweet Sam and Jack 'ship fic, thanks for sharing!
