I really loved the construction of this story. I like it when they aren't linear and this reminded me of a zigzag, it kind of bounced between the twosomes in Akatsuki. I really loved the little two-sentace drabbles from various partnerships. This fic was very bittersweet, and I think it really captured the Akatsuki well.

Good story - I like how it was told from Kisame's point of view. I haven't read many stories which do him justice, but you did just that.

I was a little confused at first about the story (but that probably is just me) but I think I have it now - is from Kisame's poinnt of view as the Akatsuki members die, or when he is reminiscing? I absolutely loved the the line:
"Kakuzu survived less than half an hour longer than Hidan. Both immortals died alone, not knowing what happened to the other."

It seemed a little out of place where it was, but I still liked it. Awesome story.

You write so amazingly well! I do love how you portray the "behind the scenes" Akatsuki members. Rich and in character; lovely work!

This was a great, well written work, I'm truly suprised that hardly anyone has taken time to comment on this piece. I for one truly enjoyed it, especially the hot chocolate part. Very interesting read ^_^

YOU ARE THE REASON I MADE THIS ACCOUNT! SO I COULD FAVORITE THIS FIC!! This was SO amazing! I haven't read it in awhile but from what I remember it made me weep, it had insane character capturing skills, it had gorgeous detail that allowed you to get into the characters and their surroundings so well it was freaking realistic, more gorgeous detail (oh my god, kill me now! I will never find anything this beautiful, and the format, though potentially confusing, is just the kind of thing I like and was pulled off gorgeously. You. are. an AMAZING. writer. Thank you so very much for writing this. *bow*

This is one of the best stories I've ever read. I always feel sad after reading it, though I keep going back to it.

You made me tear up a little just because... I don't know. But it was wonderful. You made everyone so human that it hurt. And your Kisame is such a Mr. Nice Guy, lol!

wooh so in character! I love the idea of them all being drunk together...funny mental images! The sentence in the middle about hidan and kakuzu is very halting. well done.

So good! I love how it all comes together in the end. You're just so good! I can't get over how well this is written. You write the best Itachi x Kisame stories on Earth. I also love the how you worked in the timeline events gradually (that part about when Hidan and Kakazu passed away was just amazing!) and included all my Akatsuki favorites. All in all, I worship you. Keep up the good work.

That was a very good portrayl of the Akatsuki. There's always more to a person--or a group of people--than what you see on the surface. It was definately bittersweet, in a good way. It's pretty hard to pull off writing about the Akatsuki in a way that's both in-character and so they all mesh together like the group they are.
You also touched upon a big point: they are not only murderers and criminals, but they are also, in their own way, PEOPLE. They're not immune from worrying about things like death and the future.
(Oh, and thanks--this story got my mind off the giant cliche that is Akatsuki's big goal)
