 J. Rosemary Moss 2008-07-30 . chapter 5Hi Trish,
I think you did a great job humanizing Frank:
"Now, here he sat with Ken at the fifty-year old bar, the local watering hole and mecca of social camaraderie. M kept a wary eye on Sonora’s husband and drank bourbon on the rocks watching as Hutchinson talked the barkeep into genial relaxation. It wasn’t long before M found the bartender, with a raise of an eyebrow and a nod of his head, inviting the bodyguard into the conversation. Other locals came and went and the man who, because of the cruelty of school children, had cut himself off from the world, found himself on the receiving end of some real ‘Hey, how ya doin’s.’
It felt good."
Like Sonora, there's more to him than meets the eye...and we learn something about Hutch too. He's clearly not one to judge by appearances.

 J. Rosemary Moss 2008-07-30 . chapter 4Hey Trish!
I'm coming up for air from my Star Trek story to read a couple of chapters, lol. I'm glad that Starsky is as determined as ever to retrieve Hutch. And I must say that this line had me laughing:
"Whatever,” Starsky answered. Jay could call him ‘cupcake’ for all he cared if he was the man that was gonna help him find Hutch.
Lol!

 J. Rosemary Moss 2008-07-10 . chapter 3What I really liked about this chapter is that it showed us more of Sonora's vulnerbility--the moment where she stares at the plunging neckline of her dress and then changes into something more demure and the time when she's tried to eat and worried about spilling cheese on herself. Again--I just love these humanizing moments!

 J. Rosemary Moss 2008-07-10 . chapter 2Hey Trish,
I'm finally catching up with this story. Ohmygosh--Sonora has issues! However, I really like her as a bad guy, because she has some very human moments that show her insecurities. (I can't stand black-and-white characters, lol.)
I loved these lines:
"Hutch processed the information—Sonora’s intentions-- and made his conclusions.
They were in big trouble."
Lol--despite everything, I couldn't help but smile at that. Onto chapter 3...

keltiksgirl 2007-08-14 . chapter 12hi really am enjoying your story.. waiting anxiously for the next chapters.. Thanks |
Elivalero 2007-05-05 . chapter 12Well; as I told you, last night I couldn't stop reading until the end of the story. It took me a long while (You don't want to know how late I went to bed!Lol!)But I just couldn't stop reading and enjoying as I hadn't enjoyed a story in quite a while.
There's lot of great moments in your story. But if I had to pick just one, it'd be the one n which Frank-Monster sees Hutch leave Sonora's place...Whoho!! Great moment indeed!
Btw. You did just great in fleshing out your original characters. Already, in my mind eye they have all clearly defined persinalities, background and physical appearances.
Sure, as you wrote in your initial disclaimer, your story is sort of a surreal fairytale. An very involving one, moreover (That touch of surreality is which makes this story especially attractive for me) As in other tales, in there's a bad; very bad woman, who is just like a fairytale's evil wich, and a poor lonesome soul hidding under the appearance of a monster (How much reminds me monster of Frankenstein!)
Well, my friend. I only have missed to read the end of the evil Sonora at the hands of Starsky, if possible. I keep the hope that, eventually you'll write a sequel for this story. A return of Sonora, placed in any other moment or scenario, and of course, her well deserved punishment.
Awesome, superb story! |
 Elivalero 2007-05-04 . chapter 1Hi Trish
See...This morning I began reading Sonora, and I only can say one thing...WOW!!
What an amazing tale! It's one of the most involving stories I've read lately. Unluckily, and as much as I wanted to do so along the day I hadn't time enough to stay at home and read more of it, but now, in the middle of the night it's an entirely diferent matter. *Rubbing hands in anticipation* I am about keep reading it, and most likely I'll don't stop until the end! No matter how long it'll take me. I'm enjoying every single word of this awesome story!
I'll comment more later, but so far, I want to send you a big applause. You did great with this story! |
 KKBElVIS 2007-04-13 . chapter 12Dear Trish:
This was a fabulous story!
You really unleashed your imagination.
It was my honor to have read 'Sonora'
I am most impressed with it!
Hugs,

KKBElVIS 2007-04-09 . chapter 11Wow! I am near speechless. This chapter is the best so far.
You wrote::DO YOU THINK I WANT TO HEAR THAT?” Hutch pushed himself to his feet. “That you’d die! That’s supposed to make me feel better. She’ll kill you, Starsk. You showed me the pictures.”
Hutch's pain and suffering is so picture clear!
And when he calls for 'Sonora' and Starsky simply states. "I'm here."
This is nothing less than phenomenal work, my friend.
Best seller stuff!
The depth of creativity is outstanding!
Thank you,
Karen |

 Ukkie 2007-03-28 . chapter 11Hi Trish,
It really seems impossible to bring Hutch back doesn't it?Still I believe in the strong bond between them.Somehow, some day Starsky and Hutch will beat the demons!!Or is that wishful thinking? No,it will happen. It has to!!Sonora can't win this.
So,please hurry with the next chapter!I can hardly wait to read more!
Love,
