There's a lot that can be done with this story. Since the class structures seem to be the same, Ashe could still be the princess of Dalmasca or the principal's (King Raminas?) daughter. Basch could be her bodyguard. Not everybody has to be a student. With Vaan, the closest thing to a sky pirate would probably be a pilot. And don't be afraid to try out new pairings. Balthier and Penelo is a start. I always wondered how Vaan and Fran would turn out or Larsa and Ashe xD Anyhow, these are merely opinions. The outcome is up to you ^^

i've been wondering when i'd see an AU high school fic. interesting start so far. i'm curious to see how you introduce the other characters into this. hmm, maybe ashe could be the super popular senior that dated balthier for a bit, but they broke up because they just weren't right together. she's too perfect like how a prom queen would,while balthier is more laid back. and then vaan has a secret crush on ashe that ashe at first ignores and ridicules, but later grows to like vaan.

well those are some of my own ideas for this, especially since you were thinking of doing an ashe/vaan and bal/penelo (hope you really do a banelo ^_^) continue soon!
