Considering what happens to her, this gives me the chills...the part about the doll who is also scared is especially fitting. Poor little Annika...it was really wrong of her parents to take her into danger.

Seven is my favorite Voyager character and it's great to find a story like this about her past.

I think this is a really good concept of what Annika Hansen might have been like as a child. Nicely written, too, if somewhat short. Keep writing.
