Anyway, I love it. I'm reminded quite a bit of "I'm Not That Girl" from "Wicked" which makes it all the more heartbreaking.

Specifically the end of the song:

Awesome song, but not nearly as awesome as this fic.

The way you got in their heads, and the smooth, gentle flow you set her is great.

The story on the first page, about Elliot just knowing she was having a rough time, and showing up and informing her he'd be staying with her, and holding her was simply beautiful.

I love how you seemed to capture their desire so well with your words. I also like how you forged a connection between them, deeper than some people bother to write about.

And that's quite a conundrum they're in, unable to change things... I liked the honesty this somehow exudes, even though it offers no hope for things to be different.

Good writing. I was pretty shocked by how much i like the first chapter. I expect this is probably finished, but I look forward to more of your writing in stories to come...
