I actually read "SoCalled Afterlife" first, and what you have up of the sequal, and I had to see what else you had written for the category! i know nothing of 'dead like me', but i can still follow your story and still understand it completely! I think thats a very good trait in story writing, to be able to combine stories (like you did) and still be able to have your readers understand what is happening without knowing one of the original stories is VERY COOL. I will try to keep up with the sequal of SoCalled Afterlife (which I must say that I love that you made Cox a reaper!), but I may not be able to because I'm only on here every so often, and even then not that much. I also liked hearing exactly what happened to Jack Castello after reading about his post reactions in SoCalled AFterlife. VERY COOL. Anyway, keep writing! -Draw4life

tcg/animefan 2007-06-18 ch 1,	abuseYou have a good idea here, even if your grammar's a bit off. Mostly little details a thorough proof-read would've caught. The jokes were good, but not great. You missed the minor details that make them funny, like Dr. Kelso's perfectly straight face, or other gestures and expressions the characters constantly use. Speaking of Dr. Kelso, you downplayed his humanity a bit much in this. While he is a "Ba$tad coated ba$tad with ba$ta*d filling, there has been evidence that he still posses a shred of human compassion in his body. Also, you seldom described the setting and positioning of the characters, making the scenes difficult for the reader to get a good picture of. You also broke the "show don't tell" rule, making the way you introduced the idea of JD being a reaper seem a bit random. I know you were going for shock and awe value, but you got that just fine by having JD act so intense, not by randomly assigning him powers. What you could have done was show him performing a reap, perhaps introducing some of his associates in the reaping world. Note that this is not to say that I did not like your story. I did. It was good, but every writer has room for improvement. Except Herbie Brennan, the awesome, British author of the Farie Wars Chronicles. Yes, I know that "awesome British" is redundant. But seriously, I look forward to reading any upcoming stories in this series. You did good. Maybe not great, but upper-level good. 7.5/10.
