this is a cute story. way better than any I've read before. It's sweet that you made kikyo a part of his life but yet he could move on too. and that he could let all the feelings he felt for kagome fully surface. it's like is past was holding him back and now he was able to move on with his life. it's good that you made an effort for kikyo to have a happy death and be peaceful. I mean personally I don't like kikyo, never did, and I like fanfics that agree with my opinion :/ sorry. but this fanfic I like even though kikyo is considered an good character.
oh and in the manga when he kissed her before she died my heart nearly stopped and I felt like it was breaking. It hurt a lot bc I created an attachment to the characters, kagome the most, though. I mean I understood and it was a sort of closure for them both but still it some what felt like he was cheating on kagome.

Nice, putting it Inuyasha's point of view instead of Kagome's like in the manga... Though if you continued, and elaborated the potentially funny 3 days... it'd probably be better- i found this ending nice... Inuyasha's Pov, ya... but if it could contine... =)

Maybe it's just me, but the manga never seems to allow its readers enough insight into Inuyasha's heart. We get to see plenty of things from Kagome's point of view--we get to understand her and appreciate the pure heart that she has. What goes on in Inuyasha's mind, however, is a bit of a mystery. His true feelings and thoughts are revealed so sparingly in the manga... And that is why I really appreciate this piece of writing. When I first read "The Two Worlds" chapter, I thought, "It's sweet, but I'm so confused!" It didn't make sense to me how he made the leap from "I want to die to follow after Kikyou" (from the "Tears of Blood" chapter) to "I want to protect Kagome with my life."

Your fine interpretation has filled in that scandalous gap. Or at least in my mind. :)
--> "Now that I was released from the promise I made Kikyou years ago, I could move on, I could give everything to Kagome, without regrets." --> Favorite line! Ah, now everything makes sense. You got into Inuyasha's point of view so incredibly well. I felt like I was reading an official text-only version of the manga chapter.

I might write IY fanfiction. If I ever do, I hope I can capture the characters' thoughts and feelings as well as you do.

OH dear god I just had to go and read the manga chapter after this. I'm such an idiot, I think I actually missed it while I was tearing through the manga a few weeks ago, trying to catch up. Don't sell yourself short though, you did a great job with this. Sometimes I have a hard time reading the expressions of some characters and figuring out what they're thinking, especially Inuyasha, and this really helped, you got into his head so well, it made so much sense...Great job getting his voice across, and enhancing an already touching situation with your own skills of presentation. This was very sweet.

i love this story^.^ and all your other ones too, they are very good. I also have a geisha story going, but somehow i have writersblock. anyways its a great story and hope to read more of yours in the future

I liked how beautifully written this story was. Its rare that I find a really good written Pov from Inuyasha. It was sweet, yet so like him.

omg..even though its one chapter, this is my favorite kagome and inuyasha moment...now that i know most of this actually happens, it makes it even better and i am so ready to start reading the manga since the anime left the series at an abrupt ending. love this and you for writing such amazing work!!
