B.T. Gunker 2008-07-24 . chapter 9Wow that was awesome. Your action was intense man. There was actual story too, not just violence. That was the first multi-chapter piece i've read on here. I'm still stunned, you also inspired me to write my own multi-chapter piece.

Rock Raider 2008-03-02 . chapter 10Wow, I gotta say, this fic was quite a read.:) It would make for great stuff. Your ideas for gangs (the Executioners), your snuff star (Frank Roy Tanner), & "The Surgon" were great ideas.:) However, 1 thing confused me. I thought the Smileys made their turf in Darkwood Penitentiary. I would've thought the corrupt cops would been in the Carcer City Police Department, I mean, it's a police department. Also, I like the first ending more, but the Manhunt ending seemes more likely for Starkweather. Well, anyway, see ya. |
The Modern Film Critic 2007-12-30 . chapter 10I'll be honest with you sir, I've never had the oppurtunity to play Manhunt yet. I read this story and found myself practically begging to get the game! Your story was wicked sweet and the only thing I can say is I definately prefer the Manhunt Ending! |
jameswaah 2007-05-31 . chapter 1i really enjoyed this fanfic, it kept me reading and the fact you let the reader have the choice on how they wanted the story to end was good. looking forward so some more! |
Kurt Baros aka The Falcon 2007-05-16 . chapter 10hmm...pretty good story a little out there but good. |
Dark enchanter 2007-04-23 . chapter 10Bravo, a wonderful ending to a wonderful story! I think I prefer this ending of the two, but both work well. I was just going to read one, but I knew I'd spend forever pondering what the other held. Hopefully you will write something else in a fandom I enjoy, so I can read your work again. Or even better, maybe a story based on Manhunt 2? Either way, good luck on your future projects, hopefully you'll earn a little more recognition in future. |
Dark enchanter 2007-04-23 . chapter 8That was quite a chapter! I don't know how, but you made something that rivals the game itself in actual coolness! The Surgeon was a brilliant idea, and fit perfectly into the manhunt universe. If only he was in the original game, that would have been amazing! |
Dark enchanter 2007-04-16 . chapter 7'Bout time someone dealt with that annoying elevator music. I felt a real shift with this chapter, it feels like the balence has shifted slightly and Tanner is no longer the hunter, he's both outnumbered and outgunned, literally. I can't wait to see if this idea continues, or if you give him a gun and the order shifts back. Both ideas would be equally cool, so long as giving Tanner a firearm doesn't lower the gruesomeness of the kills too much. Execution-style is still what you describe best IMHO. |
Dark enchanter 2007-04-16 . chapter 6Ack, Tanner's really starting to take a beating! First he gets a hole in his hand, now nail gun wounds in the back and what's probebly a sprained shoulder. I can't wait to see how this starts to impact his fighting skills. And now he's going to try and make a break for it in the ambulance, the game just gets even more interesting! I'm waiting to see what kind of sick twist the story's going to take now, 'cause the directors not going to let Tanner escape without a fight! |
Dark enchanter 2007-04-16 . chapter 5Heh, Tanner's really doesn't care much about stealth any more, does he? They realy should have had molotov cocktail's in the game, despite how incredibly loud they'd be. I'm still amazed at how interesting you're able to make this fic, despite how it's mainly senseless killing. I figured I'd tire of it by now, but your action scenes just really draw the reader in well, and leave them waiting to see what happens next. I can't wait to find out what happens at the construction site. |
Dark enchanter 2007-04-16 . chapter 4Damn, that pen is brutal! Guess it really is mightier than the sword. I get the feeling this whole chapter really exists as an excuse to use the pen, but I'm not complaining for a second! As usual, I think that Starkweather's comments are the best part of the story, they make me giggle in twisted glee when I read them. |
Dark enchanter 2007-04-10 . chapter 3That was intense! Your action scenes are truly breathtaking, it almost feels like I'm sitting there watching the scene unfold on one of the Directors own monitors, listening as he gives his running commentary to Tanner.
You said 'Due to get more violent', and boy did you mean it! I loved every minute of it, and thought your new gang fit quite well in the army of freeks that make up Carcer city. Hopefully we'll be seeing more of your creations in coming chapters? As well as more weapons?
I can only hope this fanfiction category grows a little with the new game coming out, hopefully you'll get some more reviews! |
Dark enchanter 2007-04-05 . chapter 2Wow, I gotta say, this is a very well written fic! I went into the manhunt section expecting talentless hacks writing unimaginative gore-fests, but this has a cetain depth and humor to it that makes it a joy to read. Please write some more, I'm dying to see what Tanner's going to come up against next! |
Paradox022 2007-03-22 . chapter 1Wow... Interesting fic. I liked your characters a lot so far, so I hope you will continue with this. The pace was pretty good and the setting so far is gritty as well. Nice work. |
