Very good. It was a plausible AU, not the overdone 'Avatar hits high school! Yay! And Katara's name shall now be Kristie.' It was much better than those.

I loved it, I loved it, I loved it.
The subtlety of certain things, the connection between Zuko and Katara, and the beautiful flowing of your words. It was well worth reading! Some parts of the story felt so heartbreaking in some ways, and other parts felt lighter and sweet. I hope that makes some sense! The only thing I'm disappointed in is me not reading this earlier. Like I said, it was beautiful.

Haha, you should be proud of this! It's really good. I think I remember which picture you were talking about... It had Katara and Zuko with that mask on, and it was night... Ah well, I don't know. :)
Anyway, good job. The beginning actually wasn't that slow; the pace, at least to me, was about the same through the whole thing, but in a good way. Congrats on a really great fanfic! :D

very interesting story! I would love to see it fleshed out in a multi-chapter work (but that would be just greedy, I know), especiallyt eh steps it took to get Katar into the court at Ba Sing Se.

Also, are zuko and Iroh not Fire Nation in this? Such a thing would be quite important given the history you spelled out for Katara in this.
