Well, to say that the ending of the story surprises me is an understatement. I was totally blown away by the outcome. I guess if you put it in a yaoi concept, it does make sense. But in a rational way, I believe there is a 'normal' explanation to it. I guess the devil treasures his friendship with him due to his nature as you described in this chapter.
