Very good story. I didn't review each chapter, but I read the whole thing today. Definitely "tweaks canon" a bit, but it's a pretty believable "tweak".

I have to say I thought Clark was somewhat out of character, I know he didn't have parents but hey what do I know.
I really think you should do a sequel don't let Lex get off so lightly.

What a moving, powerful story. I especially love the title. The characterizations, though, are spot on as well. So far, Clark is terribly wounded, poor man, but you've still managed to give him his trademark goodness and compassion. Lois is sharp-edged, tough, but still caring and passionate for justice as well. I can't wait to read the rest of this, and I'm also surprised that it hasn't garnered more reviews. If you're interested in feedback, you might consider posting it in installments at the Fanfic MBs; it's a very active community and I know they'd love this. It's such high calibre! Keep up the good work.
