I’m new to the whole fanficion thing so I’ve just read this now. OMG this story is just beautiful! Yet so sad.

As a bookworm I love a good tragic ending….BUT this one is so good I’m still thinking about it. Not even the stories I write have this effect on me.

Just still wondering how Koenma/Bran can cope 10 years let alone 3 years…

Hi! I just wanted to tell you how much I liked this story. Im new to this fandom, but Im already hooked to the BotanKoenma pairing. The story was great, so fluent and elegant in some parts! I really liked how you portrayed Botan and Koenmas friendship, slowly turning it into something more... Also I liked how you included everyone in the story -but I think George could have been a little more involved-. I liked Masago as well -but to be honest, I think including Britney Spears lyrics when you introduced her was a little out of place-, being so fragile but strong.

My favorite part definitely is when Botan realizes she loves Koenma (I dont know why you didn't liked- I think it was very sweet).

And Koenma was so funny when he tries to bribe those demons! I actually imagined it!

Now, to the sad part...it really broke my heart, realizing it really happened that way, especially when I was so convinced they would end happily ever after -sobs-. Well, I was heartbroken, until I realized it was already stated in the title (then I was "It was kind of obvious, duh"). Question: Does it mean he will wait for her the rest of eternity, or until he dies, or until she is reborn? (This really puzzles me) Oh well, now I have stuck this alternate ending in my head, dammit! :D

Oh, I almost forgot, I liked how you described the weather, and how it affected the characters.

Your story is excellent and while I was searching the back 400 pages of YuYuHakusho for a half way decent story I finally came across one.It has angst,romance,humor,and everything needed to make a story a great one so it would most likey please all of your readers if you sumitted your story to a fanfiction contest because your is in need of reviews and to be placed on the winning fanfiction contest not in these lonely back pages Sincerely Sadistic

oh my gosh! that was so heartbreaking! ... with the amount of tears i'm crying, i'm sure to short-circuit my keyboard... WAH! I used to have crushes on multiple people in YYH, even Kuwabara, but I always shrugged Koenma aside then... it's the pacifier... but now... he's such a good person! And botan!... WAH! *sniff* er... would you be able to write a really really short sequel so that botan comes back? i really hate the doom-thing. in my own stories, there happens to be sacrifices a lot too, but i always bring them back because my sister yells at me if I don't. _* but sad stories make up some of the best stories there are. this was a really beautiful story! wow! you're going on my fav. authors list! this story was absolutely beautiful! great job!

As corny as it sounds Sad stories can be some of the best. Hmm...you could even write a sort of sequel to this if you wanted, especially with that last sentence about waiting, *eh heh* *hint hint hint* Of course if it kept ending in sad almost cliff hangers like this one, you could keep it going in a series! *LOL*

Ok, maybe that's a bit much but I do like the story.

Keep writing Koenma-Botan fics, Melps, you are SOOOO good at it. There's always an originality to your story, whether it be in plot of theme, and it's so nice seeing other, non-Reikai characters mixed in. The IC characters are great, especially canon Koenma - hilarious at times, just as he was in the anime. Ja ne! Emailed you my in depth review, _

I discovered this fic last week and have only just begun to start reading it. I'm enjoying watching Koenma and Botan's friendship truly in action - hardly a hint of deeper feelings when they talk, which is nice. I love them when they chat, especially their conversation at the end of chapter two - Koenma's insane, lol! Will read more later, but just wanted to say I'm liking this so far. _
