That song has often made me think of Kenshin's youth. Good, depressing descriptions of his life. However the last few lines shed a ray of hope on the darkness.

That was really great, and the song really fit. It has the same mood as the OAV, and very beautiful imagery. Wonderful fic!

You know, I usually don't read songfics because most of them suck, but I was impressed with this one :) Nice choice of song, it fits Kenshin/Battousai very well, and your images from the OAV were done well too. Very nice! _

*eyes light up* That was simply gorgeous! The song goes perfectly with the fic, and it so bitter and angsty, the whole fic, that it makes me want to cry. I love the images you chose to go with the song, which gives a very good insight on Kenshin's dark past. I've read too many "poor Battousai" fics to be really sympathetic to Kenshin, but for your fic, I could really sense his inner pain...
