I thought all your medical descriptions sounded great. Your doctor was very believable.

And I always love the way you write the boys. I really miss your stories, it was nice to re-visit this one. Loved Dean waking up worried about his car, and the talk he and Sam had, and I always love when Dean's hurt and Sam's worried. You write that so well.

What a treasure trove to discover! I'm way behind on my reading because I'm wrestling with my latest fic (and my muse is being difficult) but I couldn't resist checking out a couple. Took the random approach and landed on this one first.

And may I just say, yum! Great little tag full of lovely brother moments. Awesome characterizations too - strong, competent Sam, worrying over and caring for his brother, and Dean being his usual charmingly, stubborn self. :) I love protective, big brother Dean as much as the next person but I also love seeing Sam being placed in that role. It brings out the strength the show itself too often leaves unexplored.

Loved the phrasing you used when you wrote that Dean was being 'economical with the truth.' Hee. Talk about summing him up in nutshell. I'll have to rememeber that one.

Well, this was exactly the pleasant read I was searching out this morning.

Saturdays mornings are great anyway, but having this story keep me company has made it fantastic.

You mentioned how long this story is and it was only after reading your end note that I actually realized it was indeed a very long one shot, but as with all your stories, the flow of your writing makes the time fly by quickly and I've reached the end before I'm actually ready, but lucky for me, I've still got a bit of your stories to read yet, so it's all good.

I'm glad Dean's okay and I'm also glad that they straightened a few things out with their little chat.

Sometimes I think Sam should just save his breath! Dean is who he is and I don't think that will change. He might enjoy the brother thing and think he'll let Sam take care of him, but his instinct will always kick in and he'll do what he's always done.

So "secret stash" worthy! Loved it, and while I was reading it something occured to me-why I like your stories so much. You have these lovely touches of humanity, so utterly effortless. What do I mean? For example in this one there is the tiniest aside when Sam wonders if nurses are taught "the look" in med school. It is so human, so real, the kind of thing that actually happens. It adds depth and color that some fics lack! (Maybe I will have to get a special "secret Stash" binder for your stuff!)
