Gotta agree with the other reviewers, you *really* should consider expanding on this fic. We all would certainly thank you. ;) It's really lovely and fun. Your OC is wonderfully grounded and real. I love that she reads like someone I would know; like someone any of us could be. Really, the more I think about this story the more I like it.

Great story! I thoroughly enjoyed it. Very well written and you captured the voices perfectly. Although it was cute it wasn't sickeningly so; I usually hate OC but you wrote yours nicely. And what a great concept (exactly right, who in their right mind could resist Mickey?). I'd enjoy seeing this continued, but it works quite well on it's own.

Awhh...That was very very good. I agree you need more to it! like maybe 2 months later her brother decides he needs a trailer or something. Or maybe the car breaks down...and he brings you along to re negotiate.

That was great. I could definitely see Mikey doing something like that. And for someone who's grown up in the States, I thought you did wonderfully with the dialect (this is coming from someone who's grown up in the States, mind you).
Yes, Brad Pitt is not one of my favorite actors, but Snatch is one of my favorite movies. "Periwinkle blue" is a common saying in our house (my dad says it whenever one of us starts mumbling--he says we sound like pikeys). It was one of Jason Statham's better roles. He should get more of the comedy-type stuff. His deadpan delivery in this is great. And oh-so British.
Okay, I should stop now. I'm sorry it took me so long to review, but my email alerts didn't come in until sometime last night, and I don't have internet at night. So, I'm off to read and review the next chapter of Asylum (can't wait to see what you've got in store for them next!)

bravo...this was really great, makes me want to watch the movie again. you've gotten the pikey language down pat. i think you should make this more than a one shot. you might not get as many readers as you probably normally would, but i think it would make for a great read.
