I kinda got a bit confused. When Kenshin says: "Remember your promise." what does he mean? Is it a reference to something he says in a other of your fics?

I think I missed something again.

Also, when they start feeding each other, is that supposed to symbolize something?

The ending was so sweet. There are merits to getting the kids to leave the house, haha!

I love how your fics address all the little void spots in the cannon that I wonder about. I've been thinking about the manga's ending (Well... when Yahiko and Sanosuke set off) and how empty the dojo would be again, and this fic just hit the spot. AND it's citrusy, always a plus. My only little input would be that Kaoru shouldn't be missing Megumi's spot at dinner, since she was rarely there. But that's properly nitpicky of me. The feeding each other food thing was a little out there but acceptable.

Very interesting one shot, it actually made me think of what would happen if Yahiko did move out of the dojo and on his own. This was quite an enjoyable story, thank you for the great work. Excellent job with this story.

I always assumed that Kenshin and Kaoru would move closer more slowly after Yahiko moved out. Of course, it isn't like they didn't move slowly enough before this, so this scenario makes sense. Also, I don't remember any comment about feeding each other but I can see Kenshin wanting his turn to take care of Kaoru. Certainly this new closeness would take Kaoru's mind from Yahiko's absence.

that was sweet, the feelings of loss. i feel that every time one of the kids moves out until they come back then i want them to move away...far away.

i could see kenshin getting clower after everyone leaves... it's quieter, more private.
