Nice. I like that Richard isn't automatically the villain... his unease with his own actions and motivations in offering Clark that job were plausible. This is a good story. I'd of course be happier if it was fleshed out a bit as I really enjoy deep character digging, but I'm just happy to see an update! Hopefully you'll find your muse and some time to keep working on this.

This is a great story! Yeah, have a little trouble with verb tenses, but you have a great grasp of story telling. This story and Fallen both have some great potential.

So, Richard thinks he can manipulate Clark? I see he has fallen for the ‘facade’ just like a lot of other folks. I loved Clark’s comeback line – “Mr. White, I just got back”! Perfect! But I was thinking to myself -- Clark wouldn’t leave Lois and Jason now, even if his life depended upon it. Excellent!
