Kothoga 2008-05-02 . chapter 6Awesome story you have written mate :D Bonnie really thinking about Karma and about dating Ron...awesome work on them both :D and I can't forget about Kim and Shego betting about their dates..at least the first 2 ones.
well..on to the next one now in the M.I universe |
gunfus 2008-03-30 . chapter 6I've never liked Bonnie at all so pairings with her never appealed to me. When I first saw this I got a little disappointed but began to read it just to continue with the universe (which is awesome btw!).
So you must understand that I got really surprised when I found myself loving it! You made her feel so real and her 'slice of life' in the Kigo-residence was amazingly fun to read about. The 'domestic bliss' between the two mothers and especially her together with Ron was great, thank you. :) |
 chao-hellsing 2008-02-21 . chapter 6That quote is from Slayers, isn't it? |
Alexander - Godslayer 2008-01-03 . chapter 6Well, this one REALLY took me some time, mainly because I was reading it from time to time, but I’ve finally finished reading “The Pathetic Tale of Bonnie Rockwaller ”! Yay for me! ^_^
Ahem! Well, for starting, like I told you already, I got to say that I felt a bit disappointed when the Fanfic turned out to be another romantic story as I was, like, having another idea of it, even as I was reading the first three chapters, which seriously had no hint of the upcoming romance, even if it had been planed from the beginning. I mean, if that’s so, then why not being Ron the one who helped out Bonnie out of her misery to begin with?
On a second though, I guess that would have actually made this Fanfic quite predictable.
Following up. To be honest, the interaction between Ron and Bonnie did not attract me that much. It was good, yeah, but it pales in comparison with other scenes from these latest three episodes. The scenes with Bonnie discussing her feelings about Ron with Shego and later Kim, THAT was truly Interaction Gold, man! It was REALLY funny, quite in-character and more than credible for the way it developed. And for the record, really good work with making up the relationship between Shego and Bonnie, which was actually never seen in the show.
Other good things I enjoyed where Ron’s fantasy and his babbling with Kim while trying to explain her that he had ONLY literally slept with Bonnie, but to reach the point, I must say that I totally loved the ending! I don’t know why you seem to make so much deal with it not being your usual type of ending, because it was really great. It was the first time I’ve seen Kim and Ron reaching such a great resolution after breaking up, with their relationship strengthening without having to be romantic at all, but marking an unbreakable bond between them.
Overall, the twists this fic gives really make it outstanding. It doesn’t seem to have what I would call a pre-arranged, complex organization, but it still gives a similar impact. Personally (And with this, don’t take it too seriously because it’s just my opinion), my unquestionable favourite chapter was the third one, followed by the second one. But the entire fic was a nice reading in the end. ^_^ |
The Ronin Shinobi 2007-11-21 . chapter 6I just finished reading this proticular story. I very much enjoyed it. Although I had some trouble getting through because of some word use errors. I also read "Maternal Instinct" and "Seeing Double". I apalogize for not writing reviews for them; I was a little preoccupied with school. But now that I am free for a few days I'll get right on that.
I have never a "No" Prize before; I've gotten 1st 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th place trophies as well as a dead last but finished plack. So I'll say "Big O" is where you got "We Have Come To Terms." Though I did cheat I also watched that anime when it was on. |
Alexander - Godslayer 2007-11-08 . chapter 3God, I SO loved this chapter! It was freaking GREAT! Best thing I've read of you!! ^o^
The first part was not just touching, but also very well written and very, very in-character in my opinion. The thing I most liked about Bonnie's background and how she got into this is that the fact that she was living, like, in hell wasn't her fault, and that she had found the determination and will to try to make her life better by herself, staying away of her sisters. Granted, it didn't turn out very well, but at least she fought for going on even through the odds.
And well, the second part had me giggling and smiling for all the time I was reading it. Talk about awkward positions to wake up (XD) and worse: Being discovered like THAT! This was, like, the KiBo material I needed. So thank you for such a wonderful chapter!! ^__^ |
Alexander - Godslayer 2007-11-08 . chapter 2Well, just finished reading the second chapter and, while after reading the first one I didn't feel like I had much to review (Specially considering I had already told you some of it chatting), this second one really has material to be talked about.
Starting with this chapter, I really liked the whole description about how miserable Bonnie's life has become. Not because I like to see her in such state, but because I could almost feel her misery thanks to the description, which was really good. I mean, if this girl is now even going to take some moment just to smell her launch before eating it because it's one of the few pleasures of her life, then she by no doubts IS in really deep sh*t. Gotta congratulate you for your work in this chapter, for this and for how in-character you portrayed Bonnie, giving some priority to her pride so that she wouldn't accept Kim's offer (and maybe nobody's) at the first offer.
That said, well, Bonnie isn't the only prideful girl around here, since Kim doesn't stay behind at all. Her reaction towards the idea of this group of superheroes "taking her job" was quite good, and it took not just Ron, but also Shego's words to make her understand she was indeed overdoing herself and that she needed a rest. Fortunately, even she has a limit when being stubborn.
About the Justice Squad, I don't there's much I can say about them now. The one I particularly liked was Spyder because of his attitude. I actually always like characters who value family. And I was wondering: Was the idea of Catgirl flirting with Ron made up just for the sake of it? Or for the eventual wonder of Kim that eventually lead her to call Shego hot?
What can I say? I loved the last scene between Kim and Shego! ^_^ (Poor Bonnie XD)
Anyway, I’m really liking this fic so I guess I’ll stick to it. Seems promising.
PD: The second chapter should DEFINITLY have had some revision before having been uploaded. -_- |
 Flame Swordsman 2007-11-08 . chapter 6Great story.
The last line is from BIG O first season. |
 Tonya S. 2007-10-05 . chapter 6 IT'S BIG O!
Oh wow, I didn't think I would ever know anyone that's a fan of the show outside the regular fandom! Most of the ones I've seen/talk to either a) hate the show, or b) never heard of it.
*pauses*
Wait, you are a fan right? I'll be an idiot and assume yes. |
Chikiko 2007-07-15 . chapter 6I don't know how i missed thsi story, but i just finished it of course it wasd fantastic! I loved seeing how bonnie changed and grew through out this story. plus i love Ron & Bonnie (even if i've yet to put them together in a story of my own) I've actually been really wanting to see these two hook up so you made me quite happy~! it was also good to see kim and ron fixing things between them. i'll make sure to put you on author alert so i don't miss your next story |
soultaker78 2007-07-04 . chapter 6The "we have come to terms" thing is from Big O. Thank you very much for writing this. I'm glad that someone finally wrote a story that's both Kigo and Ronbon. It was a very good story. I look forward to more elements from both couples in future installments.
Concidently, in one chapter of one of my stories, I also used a scene inspired from a picture by Yougurthfrost and named Tara after the real life VA of the same name like you did in ch2. |
aedan cameron 2007-07-02 . chapter 2I love how you put Ash and Shaun in there. Evil Dead is a classic. I like the story so far, although you seem to have a few instances of random words at the end of paragraphs. Things must really be in the dumps for Bonnie to except Kim's help. I lived in some dives when I was a kid and after tasting higher standard of living I would be hard-pressed to go back to that way of life. It's got to be hell for Bonnie who grew up rather wealthy (in the series if not your fic) |
creativetoo 2007-06-30 . chapter 6Terrific closing chapter. I loved the talk between Kim and Ron...and her threatening to send him home because it's her house. :)
Great stuff.
Kudos to you! |
Slyrr 2007-06-30 . chapter 6Nice to know that even Bonnie realizes there are some things in life worth waiting for. I hear that in the homecoming episode, Ron winds up going to the dance with Bonnie. Interesting...
I like the way it wrapped up, though the scene with Mr. Karma in the store leaves me to wonder if there's still more stuff going on, what with the 'soul crushing' and all...
And there's still things that Kim doesn't seem to want to talk about - well, that will only fester the longer she leaves it unspoken : ) |
Sir Sebastian 2007-06-30 . chapter 6What? It's over already? NO!
Well this was a super fun ride. Especially this last chapter. I couldn't stop grinning and laughing. All that back and forth quipping and teasing was just delightful. And Kim and Ron finally came to terms. Wonderful.
How you deal with the relationship issues and the like are right on the money. Not too sappy or melodramatic (I'm often guilty of this), and not too unemotional.
Good show.
(Two small nitpicks: I think you meant persecution, not percussion. And it's spelled Feng Shui, unless it was your KP-verse version of it. Sorry, couldn't help myself.) |
